TerraTools® and MÄK GDB Export
The TerraTools® 3.0 plugin for MÄK Terrain Export (GDB) leverages the advanced functionality of TerraSim’s geospatial database construction product. VR-Forces users can now develop both large area and detailed geo-specific urban insets that are fully compliant with the VR-Forces runtime. TerraTools imports a full range of civil and military source vector data, DEMs, and imagery to produce a fully attributed terrain representation that supports the full range of VR-Forces computer generated forces (CGF) behaviors in complex urban environments. The TerraTools GDB exporter translates detailed source data attribution and geometry and creates databases that support all of the advanced CGF behaviors that are required for urban simulation. Coupled with TerraTools’ OpenFlight™ export capability, MÄK Stealth and StealthXR users have an automated process to create fully correlated GCF and visual databases to support the most demanding training scenarios. TerraTools Supports MÄK B-HAVE Module
TerraTools GDB export is particularly well suited to work with the recently released B-HAVE AI Module for VR-Forces. TerraTools imports a full range of civil and military source vector data, DEMs, and imagery to produce a fully attributed terrain representation that supports the full range of B-HAVE Module behaviors in complex urban environments.
Urban environments present a level of complexity for object representation and attribution to support entity route planning and navigation. TerraTools GDB export simplifies this complexity by automatically assigning the necessary GDB attributes so that VR-Forces users can produce environments ready for exercise planning. TerraTools also produces fully correlated visuals in MetaFlight format for the MÄK Stealth runtime.
TerraTools urban content generation includes the ability to generate complex urban structures with interiors using TerraSim’s UrbanPlan™ automated building interior generator. Coupled with the B-HAVE entity models, highly detailed building clearing operations can be planned and visualized. Users can construct geo-specific building interiors from graphical floorplans or detailed CAD drawings.
