Associate Proposal Manager

The Associate Proposal Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire proposal development process, from initial solicitation review through proposal submission. We are looking for a candidate with 2- 3 years of experience in proposal management, with a focus on government proposals for software and technical services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early or mid-career professional to grow into a senior proposal management role. Experience responding to Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) is essential. An understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Management: Lead and coordinate the proposal development process, ensuring timely and high-quality submission of proposals in response to BAAs, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate with cross-functional proposal teams, including writers, subject matter experts, and graphic designers.
• Proposal Strategy: Develop and implement proposal strategies and win themes, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
• Compliance: Ensure proposals meet all government regulations and solicitation requirements, including FAR and DFARS compliance.
• Proposal Writing and Editing: Oversee proposal content development, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and adherence to the proposal guidelines.
• Review and Quality Control: Conduct proposal reviews and provide feedback to improve content, structure, and presentation.
• Stakeholder Communication and Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business, including executives, to gather insights and align proposal content with strategic goals. Coordinate with external partners as needed to ensure all proposal elements are accurately represented and compliant.
• Business Development Support: Collaborate closely with the Business Development (BD) team, including Capture Managers and BD Associates, to align proposal efforts with overall business development strategies and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in proposal management, with a focus on government proposals for software and technical services.
• Expertise: Demonstrated experience responding to BAAs, RFIs, and RFPs in the government contracting space.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in proposal management processes, tools, and software.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technical Writing, or a related field. Relative work experience may be substituted for educational qualifications.
